Following completion of the first international tender for law enforcement electronic monitoring services, launched by the Ministry of Justice of Republic of Portugal’s 17th Government, a three-year contract is assigned to SVEP’s shareholder’s consortium

10/2001

SVEP is incorporated and made formal counterpart of the first contact for electronic monitoring services with Instituto de Reinserção Social (IRS), Ministry of Justice’s arm for Rehab and Probation

01/2002

Electronic monitoring service contract begins, focused on pre-trial detention in the Lisbon district

10/2003

Electronic monitoring service scope is extended to Porto district

09/2004

Following completion of the second international tender for law enforcement electronic monitoring services, SVEP renews contract with the Portuguese Ministry of Justice

01/2005

The second contract begins with an enlarged service scope that comprises the whole Portuguese territory, including Mainland, Madeira and Açores

12/2007

House Arrest surveillance solution is extended to sort-term imprisonment and parole

06/2009

Following completion of the third international tender for law enforcement electronic monitoring services, SVEP ensures second contract renewal with the Portuguese Ministry of Justice, adding Domestic Violence surveillance for the whole Portuguese territory to its service scope

11/2013

Following completion of the fourth international tender for law enforcement electronic monitoring services, SVEP ensures third contract renewal with the Portuguese Ministry, of Justice, maintaining House Arrest and Domestic Violence surveillance within its service scope
